The Castro Valley Soccer Club along with 24-7 UK Soccer Academy is pleased to offer free training sessions for all upcoming U8 to U12 players interested in joining a CVSC Competitive team for the 2012 season.  All training sessions will take place at 5 Canyons Park from 4:00-5:30PM every Monday through Thursday starting January 9 and ending February 2.

 The Castro Valley Soccer Club will host player tryouts for 2012 U8 to U14 competitive teams in February 2012. There will be three tryouts for each age group/gender. Players are required to attend at least one tryout but are encouraged to attend all three.

On Friday, January 13, the San Jose Earthquakes and Wells Fargo traveled to Five Canyons Park and presented Castro Valley Soccer Club a $2,000 check on behalf of the Wells Fargo Goals For Education Program. The grant will be used to help purchase new goals for CVSC after vandals caused $10,000 worth of damage to their equipment last year.

Four CVSC Competitive players had the experience of a lifetime as they represented CVSC and CYSA at the USSF’s Olympic Development Program Region IV camps in Idaho and Oregon.

CVSC’s U14G Premier team was recently featured on the cover of Compete Nation magazine with lengthy story chronicling their last three years as team.  The U14 Castro Valley Girls’ soccer team has taken quite a unique path on its journey to compete with the best teams in Northern California and beyond. While in existence since U9, the team has gone through a metamorphosis in the past 5 years into something that is almost unrecognizable today.
