When and where do Grasshoppers play?
Grasshopper sessions are on Saturdays during the regular fall soccer season and will run for approximately 10 weeks. There will be no sessions on Labor Day weekend. In the event of a rain out, additional sessions may be added at the end of the 10 weeks. The Grasshopper sessions will take place at a CVUSD site to be determined. Specific dates and times will be published after player registration is complete.
What happens at a typical Grasshopper Session?
Age and gender specific Grasshopper teams of 8-10 players will be pre-assigned specific one-hour time slots. For the first 20 minutes of the session, 24-7 UK Soccer Academy staff will lead the Grasshopper coaches and players in fun drills designed to improve the players’ ability with the ball and introduce the basic concepts of the game. The last 35 minutes will consist of a small-sided game between pre-formed Grasshopper teams, where players and coaches will get a chance to put their new skills into play. For further information on 24-7 UK Soccer Academy visit their website at
