UPDATE 10/27/10 - Due to the rainout of some games last weekend and the probable rainout of all games this weekend and the good possibility of rain the weekend of November 6/7, the End-of-Season jamboree is pending right now. We are evaluating how many games will need to be reschedule and whether we will have field availability to play all the reschedules as well as the End-of-Season jamboree.
The last weekend of soccer is scheduled for November 6 and 7, 2010 or November 13 and 14, 2010 depending upon age group..
The board has decided to use a two-game jamboree format for these dates. In lieu of All-Stars, everyone will have the opportunity to be in a playoff, only we will use the existing reported game scores to determine the opponents.
The End-of-Season jamboree will accomplish two things:
- All kids will get to play more soccer and
- Teams will be playing against other teams similar in abilities.
In most cases they will be play two games in one day, similar to a tournament play type setting. (Some could play three?)
It should be fun and competitive. Please watch the schedule for your game times and opponents. They should be posted my end of the month. It is probable that games may be shortened by a few minutes to get all of the games in. Also if it rains, more than likely, there will be no make-ups.
PLEASE CHECK BACK ON THE WEBSITE FOR ADDITIONAL INFO. (NEAR THE END OF THE MONTH)
NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
The U7 and U8 Boys will play their final games on Nov 6th and Nov 7th.
The U7, U8 and U9 Girls will play their final games on Nov 13th and Nov 14th (as long as rain is not a factor) I am unsure whether or not any of the girls will play on the 6th and 7th.
The U9 Boys schedule will not change from the current listing.
This is due to the fact that there are so few teams in their age group Please pass this information on to all Coaches in these age groups immediately. It is important that they respond back to you that they have received this important information. The actual game times and opponents will be scheduled by the end of this month. (as long as rain is not a factor)
