A non-competitive introduction to soccer that will build the foundation for your child’s future soccer enjoyment and development. | |
U7-U8 Academy | U7 - U8 | This program is designed to build upon the technical skills learned in the Grasshopper program and introduce a few basic concepts to help players learn and understand the game, while maximizing touches on the ball. The main priority is ALWAYS to make each session a FUN learning environment. | |
Recreational |
U9 - U19 |
Soccer on a recreational level. CVSC recreational teams are usually coached by a volunteer parent and play during the Fall season. | |
Competitive |
U8 - U19 |
The Competitive Program provides year long soccer at a higher level, with professional coaches and focus on player development and education. The CVSC Competitive Program strives to develop a player’s passion for soccer, while they learn how to play the game. |

TOPSoccer | Ages 5 through Adult | TOPSoccer – The Outreach Program for Soccer – is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities. It is organized by state youth soccer association volunteers. The TOPS program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl with a mental or physical disability. | |
Young Adults |
The College Advisory Program (CAP) is designed to assist any Castro Valley Soccer Club player that has the desire to go on and play college soccer. | ||
Referee | For Youths 12 - 18 Years Old & Adults | We encourage players, coaches, parents and anyone interested (12 years and older) to take the referee class. Being a referee provides a very different perspective on the game and helps develop youth players in to soccer experts. CLICK HERE to find out more information about becoming a referee. | |

No Experience? No Problem. Lots of Experience? Share it! "Positive Coaching" is one of CVSC’s guiding philosophies and coach training and certification is available for all coaches. |
CVSC offers a variety of age based Recreational soccer programs:
BUMBLEBEE PROGRAM:
(Players born 8/1/09 to 7/31/10) A non-competitive introduction to soccer that will build the foundation for your child’s future soccer enjoyment and development. You and your child will learn soccer technique through fun games during the 30-minute sessions on Saturdays during the Fall soccer season. Registration is limited to the first 40 participants.
GRASSHOPPER PROGRAM:
(Players born 8/1/07 to 7/31/09) A fun introduction to the game of soccer for both players and parents. CVSC Grasshoppers participate in a fun 20-30 minute training session on Saturdays provided by CVSC’s offical trainers, 24-7 UK Soccer Academy, followed by a 20-30 minute game during the Fall season.
RECREATIONAL PROGRAM:
(Players born 8/1/94 to 7/31/07) Soccer on a recreational level. CVSC recreational teams are usually coached by a volunteer parent and play during the Fall season. Practices generally start in late July or early August. The season starts in September and ends in early November. Included in the registration cost are Saturday Soccer Camp sessions during the Summer.
