The Castro Valley Soccer Club will host its 4th annual Footie Fest Tournament for girls and boys U9, U10 and U11 Competitive teams the weekend of September 24-25, 2011.
The 2011 edition will be run as a tournament rather than jamboree so each age group and division will have championship and consolation matches but all teams will be guaranteed four games.
Tournament highlights:
- US Club sponsored (CYSA teams are also eligible by purchasing US Club insurance)
- Premier, Gold, Silver and Bronze (Division 1 & 3) level teams are eligible to apply.
- All teams are guaranteed four games (games are two twenty minutes halves, with two games per day)
- Tournament style rather than Jamboree format will be used (Championship and Consolation matches Sunday afternoon)
- 1st place teams will receive a championship team trophy and individual awards.
- 2nd and 3rd place individual awards will also be given.
- All games held at one central location on natural grass fields.
- All games officiated by 3-person USSF licensed referee crews.
- No friday night check-in; all team check will be at the field prior to a team’s first game.
- All players will receive a commemorative Footie Fest tournament pin.
- Each participating team will be given a official adidas game ball ($40 retail).
- Each team will receive a thank you gift courtesy of adidas.
Tournament application information:
- Entry fee: $395 with a $25 discount if team application is submitted and entry fee paid by June 30.
- Entry deadline: August 15, 2011
- A multi-team rebate will be given to clubs that have five or more teams participate.
