2016 Board of Director Elections

Nomination Deadline is November 9, 2015

Seven Board of Director positions are up for election at the Club's Annual Membership Meeting to be held on December 9, 2015 (time and location to be determined).   Each position has a two-year term.  Pursuant to the Club's Constitution and By-Laws, nominations must be received in writing not less than 30 days prior to the coming election.  The Nominating Committee will review and interview potential nominees.  If you are interested in joining the Board of Directors, please contact the Nominating Committee Chair, Lourdes Navarrete, at secretary@castrovalleysoccer.com for additional information.

 


 

Here are the positions up for election and a description of position per the Club's Constitution and By-Laws:

 

PRESIDENT

The President shall have general supervision over all the affairs of the Castro Valley Soccer Club and shall call and preside at all meetings of the Castro Valley Soccer Club and the Board. The President shall be an ex-officio member of all committees and shall appoint chairpersons and members of committees consistent with these Bylaws. The President shall serve as the primary liaison with the Castro Valley Unified School District and the Hayward Area Recreation District.

 

SECRETARY

The Secretary shall keep the minutes of all the meetings of the members and the Board, shall take charge of and serve as the official custodian of all nonfinancial records, of the Castro Valley Soccer Club, and shall issue notices or other correspondence as directed.

 

U7 & U8 ACADEMY PROGRAM DIRECTOR

The U7 & U8 Academy Program Director shall have overall responsibility for Castro Valley Soccer Club’s U7 & U8 Academy Program.

 

RECREATIONAL U14-U19 PROGRAM DIRECTOR

The Recreational U14-U19 Program Director shall have overall responsibility for Castro Valley Soccer Club’s Recreational U14-U19 Program.

 

COMPETITIVE PROGRAM DIRECTOR

The Competitive Program Director shall have overall responsibility for the Castro Valley Soccer Club's Competitive Program.  The Competitive Program Director shall be responsible to manage the collection and depositing of all monies and receive and hold all securities of the Team Accounts of the

Castro Valley Soccer Club and disburse the same as directed by the Board. The Comp Director may only make disbursements of the Team funds, which have first been deposited in accounts of the Castro Valley Soccer Club. The Comp Director shall maintain Team accounts of the Castro Valley Soccer Club, which shall be open for inspection as directed by the Bylaws or the Board. The Comp Director shall submit full monthly statements of the Team accounts to the Board at least five (5) days prior to each monthly meeting.

 

FIELDS DIRECTOR

The Fields Director shall be responsible for coordinating and arranging of maintenance of the playing fields for the Castro Valley Soccer Club. The Fields Director shall supervise the scheduling of fields for practices.

 

EVENTS DIRECTOR

The Events Director shall plan and coordinate all special events held by the Castro Valley Soccer Club, including but not limited to jamborees, tournaments and the opening day/night celebration.
