Who can join the Bumblebee Program and how do I register my child?
Boys and girls who are born on or between August 1st, 2005 and July 31st, 2006 are eligible to join the Bumblebee Program. You can register your child online at this website. Check the website for specific dates and times.
What does it cost to join the Bumblebee Program?
Player registration with the CVSC and the Bumblebee Program is $100. Your registration fee includes a custom Bumblebee t-shirt. In addition, all Bumblebees will receive a certificate at the end of the season.
When and where do Bumblebees play?
Bumblebee sessions start on Saturday, August 29th and run for 10 weeks. There will be no sessions on September 5th. In the event of a rain out, additional sessions may be added at the end of the 10 weeks. The Bumblebee sessions will take place at a CVUSD site to be determined. Specific times will be published after player registration is complete.
What happens at a typical Bumblebee Session?
24-7 UK Soccer Academy staff will lead the players and parents in a 45-minute session of fun games and organized activities designed to teach correct soccer technique and introduce the basic concepts of the game. A parent or other responsible adult, 18 years or older, will be required to participate in the sessions with their child. What equipment will my child and I need for a Bumblebee Session?

Shin guards

Soccer socks (or knee-length socks to be worn OVER the shin guards)

Soccer cleats (comfortable athletic shoes at this age group are acceptable, but NO baseball/softball/football cleats)

Comfortable shorts

Drinking water

Parents should be dressed comfortably and ready to play
Your registration fee includes your child’s Bumblebee t-shirt and soccer balls will be provided to use during the Saturday sessions.
What happens if it rains on a Bumblebee Session day?
CVSC has a rainout hotline number that will be updated starting at 7am on the day in question. The Rainout Hotline Number is 510-537-5247.
Can I play with a buddy?
When you register with CVSC on line you will have the ability to request a buddy although this request cannot be guaranteed.

The CVSC NEW Bumblebee Program is a non-competitive introduction to soccer that will build the foundation for your child’s future soccer enjoyment and development. Come along and join in the FUN packed sessions where you and your child will learn correct soccer technique through fun games in a safe and friendly environment. For 45 minutes every Saturday during the fall soccer season, you and your child can participate in organized activities designed to maximize your child’s enjoyment and learning experience in soccer.
