Then please join us at CVSC’s third annual College Information night on July 9, from 7:30-9:00PM at Canyon Middle School. Current college coaches will be in attendance to provide information and answers to your questions. 

The US Youth Soccer Show sat down with Schellas Hyndman, one of the most respected former college soccer coaches in America, now head coach of FC Dallas, to get his ideas on the do’s and don’ts when it comes to getting recruited.

Find out what to do during your high school years.

Draft a tentative list of colleges that interest you. Your list may include schools in your area, schools that have a particular major of interest to you, or schools you know very little about.

• National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA)

Another valuable way to learn more about colleges and collegiate soccer programs is to open the lines of communication with college coaches. Many collegiate coaches have standard information packets about their soccer programs for high school players and will be happy to send you these materials in the mail.

2011 marked the second year that Castro Valley Soccer Club ran a college night at the club for our older players and their parents. We will again be holding a college night in 2012.  Details about this evening should be available in February.
