Which age group?
Age group cut-offs are set by US Club Soccer and NorCal Soccer. They use a school-year model based on an August 1 through July 31 cutoff.
This aligns age groups with school grades, helping kids play alongside their classmates and friends.
Please review the age group matrix so you can easily identify your players age group
What if I want my player to play in a different age group?
Players cannot “play down” into a younger age group, this is forbidden by NorCal and US Soccer. Players who want to “play up” to an older age group can do so if they have a parent who coaches the team. Playing up without a parent coach is not allowed.
